Kristi

Working in the industry for over a decade, Kristi Colby is one of the top makeup artists in San Diego County. Kristi often finds her inspiration from high end fashion, different cultures, music, art, minimal and bohemian trends. Over the years, Kristi’s career as a makeup artist has flourished working with photographers, fashion designers, event companies, magazines, TV media companies, salons, and beauty pageant systems. Kristi has worked with many production companies in San Diego and is the head freelance makeup and stylist for COX Media. Kristi has also freelanced for many top of the line cosmetic companies such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, It Cosmetics, Stila and Too Faced Cosmetics, for locations throughout Southern California. Kristi has had the opportunity to be featured on TLC’s hit show Toddlers and Tiaras and worked for Good Day LA, Jimmy Kimmel Live, EXTRA and Dr. Drew’s Life changers. Kristi has also worked alongside ARC Experience developing an after school Cosmetology Club for some of the Unified High Schools throughout San Diego. Teaching has provided her inspiration and expansion in business and she is currently working on manifesting the next stage of her career. 

Kristi specializes in makeup for bridal, commercial, editorial and conventional purposes. She is experienced and well versed in customizing any makeup style. She uses a wide range of products with her favorites being Make Up For Ever, Dior, MAC, NARS, Urban Decay, Chanel and It Cosmetics. 

Kristi is dedicated to recommending her clients look and live in their true authentic selves. Some of her personal hobbies are staying connected in the health and fitness industry and traveling to places where she finds artistic inspiration. She is dedicated to practicing Yoga, and believes that this has helped develop clarity, a positive flow and balanced mindset as an artist and entrepreneur. She is dedicated to ensuring her clients look beautiful and feel wonderful by creating a unique look with each individual’s natural beauty, style and personality.

Stacey

Stacey is a California licensed Cosmetologist. Her passion for hair began at a young age, learning to braid and style for her friends and family. She spent 20+ years as a classically trained dancer and continued her mastery of braiding and styling for her fellow dancers' performing events. In 2011, Stacey was inspired to start her career in the beauty industry at Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in San Diego. Her education and experience on the school’s design team gave her the tools and latest techniques to further her mastery of styling. She was able to refine her skills on hair models and in fashion shows as part of her schooling. 

With a passion for event and commercial styling, she jumped into the wedding industry soon after graduating and hasn’t looked back. Stacey's work has since been featured on wedding magazine covers, blogs and styled shoots, including Exquisite Weddings Magazine, San Diego Style Weddings, Wedding Chicks, Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge and Borrowed & Blue. She specializes in braided, textured styles and loves to bring her client's vision to life. Her years of experience in the industry allow her to create exactly what her clients are looking for.

Outside of work Stacey values family, friends and healthy living. She resides in Encinitas, California with her husband, three young kids and rescue pup. She still enjoys ballet class weekly as well as yoga and pilates. She remains inspired by the art of movement and music.
